A Father’s Day Gift With Nikki Sivils!
May 31st, 2012 | By Rebecca in Altered Art | 7 Comments »As part of this week’s Basically Bare and Nikki Sivils collaboration, I’m excited to share a fun Father’s Day gift idea with you. I got the chance to work with the “Noah” collection from Nikki Sivils. This line is full of bold patterns and colors that are perfect for all the little boys and grown men in your life. I knew immediately that this would make a wonderful Father’s Day frame.
I began by covering a wooden frame with some of the patterned paper from “Noah”. I colored some Basically Bare Small Pennants with Kuretake Yellow and Light Blue Zig Painty FX markers and glued them to the top of the frame. I added the Father’s Day scallop and tie shaped die cuts onto the pennants.
After adding a photo, I grounded it with Bare Basics Buttons that I had covered with more of the Nikki Sivils “Noah” patterned papers. Tying twine through the button holes adds lovely texture to the frame.
My kids cannot wait until Father’s Day, they are ready to give this frame to their daddy!
