Valentine’s Card with felt doily
11 February 2013 | By Audrey in UncategorizedHello everyone! I wanted to make a simple, yet pretty Valentine’s card, but I didn’t have any of the Basically Bare hearts left!! So I made a heart, instead!
I took a canvas flower from the Blossoms & Leaves set, and cut out a heart from two of the petals. Then I misted the heart red.
To me, Valentine’s is not complete without some doilies!! Instead of using a pre made one, I created one from a felt blossom. I simply took a small heart shaped hole punch, and my Crap-A-Dile and punched a pattern around the edge.
I drew a circle in the middle, and then hand stitched over it with some pink embroidery thread.
A bow of pink twine and a pretty yellow heart pin finish it off!

This is cute. It is so crazy how simple an idea to make your own doily. I would have never thought to punch a felt one. Great idea.
