Boo To You!

31 October 2012 | By Beth in Altered Art

Happy Halloween everyone!  I hope you all have your costumes, candy, and scary movies ready!  Today I have a bit of door decor made from large chipboard letters that features the Basically Bare Celestial Shapes set.

The letters are covered with some fabulous Halloween papers from Authentique.  These are from their Enchanted line, which is my favorite Halloween collection this year.

The Celestial bits were painted (white for the yellow and orange ones, black for the black ones) and then covered with Stickles.

I added a few extra little bits for dimension and interest, including a bit of embroidery thread…

…and a cute little straw broom.

To finish I added some bats to “fly” around the sign whenever the door opens or the wind blows.  They were cut from a floral spray.  They’re on fairly thin floral wire that is covered with sequins, so they bounce with any breezes or movement.

Have a very happy and safe Halloween, everyone!  Please drive safely tonight and be aware of all the little ghosts and goblins out trick-or-treating!

x Beth
