Katrina here with another “For Baby” card.  I did one as one of my first Basically Bare assignments and I decided to do another one.  But this one is totally different and you never know when you are going to need those baby shower cards.

 I started with one of the chipboard frames from the Fanciful Frames II set.  I used a product from Studio Calico called Fabstrips and covered my frame.  I had to do it in two sections, making sure to match the pattern up as close as I could at the seam.  I am in an embellishment cluster phase and Basically Bare goodies are great to add to those.  I used a canvas heart from the Hearts #2 set and a chipboard bird from the Birds set.  I covered the bird with some pattern paper, inked in yellow and then chose a coordinating pattern paper for the wing and inked in an orange color to make it stand out.  I added a tag from the Studio Calico embellishments and that rose brad.  I just used a hole punch to punch a hole in my canvas heart to get the brad thru it.  Added some May Arts jute twine and my cluster in that corner was complete.

I then made my “for baby” tag with a tag from the embellishment collection and some letter stickers.  I popped it up with some foam dimensional adhesive and attached it in the bottom corner.

And then I used those fun stars and a felt cloud from the Celestial set and made a cluster in the upper corner.  I left the cloud and acrylic star just the way they were, because I wanted a subtle look to that area.  I painted a chipboard star with a Jenni Bolwin paint dauber in Malted Milk.  I left it a little rough for some added texture.  I then took one of my Zig Millennium pens and created my faux stitching.  LOVE those pens, because of the fine tip and I could get in those nooks and crannies since I added my stitching at the last!

Hee hee, I have a feeling this will be the only baby thing you will see on here this month!  I think there is going to be a LOT of Halloween!  Who knows, maybe I might get a Halloween post in??   Have a great day!
