Hats & ‘Staches12 July 2012 | By Beth in Cards
As soon as I saw the line up of Basically Bare’s new Summer releases, I immediately snatched up the Hats & ‘Staches, because I had so many ideas for projects I wanted to use them for. This set of cards is the first thing I did with them. I just know you guys are going to enjoy playing with them as much as I did!
This jaunty little beret and ‘stache combo was coated with Stickles for some shine.
For the bowler hat and its matching ‘stache, I decided to leave the black chipboard bare, except for one little accent I made using a Zig Posterman pen in white.
This snazzy top hat and ‘stache pair are covered in paper and distressed around the edges.
And for this cowboy card, I covered the hat with paper and distressed the edges. Then I painted the ‘stache with a coat of gesso and inked over it once the gesso dried.
You have to try these great embellies out! They’re so much fun to work with, and can be finished just about any way you can think of. The pack includes two of each set, one in black chipboard and one in natural brown chipboard. That’s eight hats and eight ‘staches!
Thanks for stopping by. Come back all month long to see all the great projects our designers have for us using the great new Summer 2012 releases!
