Today is my last day as a guest designer for Basically Bare and I’ll tell ya, I miss being a full time member of this team. The products are so wonderful to use, especially for a crafter like me, who loves to ink and alter.

Hello everyone, Erika Taylor here and I’m sharing with you my final project as a Basically Bare Guest designer. For this card I used the Gears #2, Pennants Large and Birds sets. I wanted to show you all how amazing the basically bare products take to paint, embossing powder and mists, so I hope this card shows that.

First off, I took a canvas pennant, and sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Coffee Shop. Once dry I stamped it with a Wow Embossing Powders stamp and finished it with Wow Embossing Powder in Olive. I love how embossing powders looks on canvas.

For the Gears,I used a combination of paint daubers, embossing powders and Distress Stain to create the texture and look. Finally the little chipboard bird with felt wings was inked, stamped, embossed and painted, using the same combination from Wow Embossing Powders (Primary Bark and Olive).

I really like the contrast of vintage and industrial on this card and I hope you do as well. Here is the finished project full of pennants, gears and a chirpy bird.
