Strength Card
26 June 2012 | By admin in Cards, Dress FormsHey there! Sarah’s in the houuusse! So last week I had the blessing of celebrating another birthday, so my mom and I went away for the weekend. During our travels we talked alot about our lives, what legacies we will leave behind, things of that nature. Something I learned about my mom is that she is one tough cookie! She has been through soo much in her life, and always putting other peoples needs in front of hers, taking care of her family, always serving others. She is a tower of strength, and that is what inspired this card.
I love the Basically Bare Dress Forms! They are so fun to play with and dress up! I wanted the card to have kind of a grungy gardenie feel, so what I did was “dirty” up the dress form with some walnut ink, then tore some of the paper off of it to reveal the corrugated part underneath.
I love to layer, and the Basically Bare Fanciful Frames are perfect for that! On this one, I slathered it with some crackle paint, then inked it to grunge it up.
Then layered a stamped die cut and dress form right on top, and voila! Easy peasy!
A super simple card, which a whole lot of meaning. I love it! Thank you all for stoppin by today! Have an amazing day!
Love, Sarah
