All Bright and Cheerful!
06 June 2012 | By admin in UncategorizedHello everyone! Hope you’re all having fun and getting inspired by all the different projects during this week’s swap with Momenta and Basically Bare!
I’m going to share with you all, a page I made with Momenta’s Let’s Party papers and Basically Bare. The papers I played with were so bright and yummy I just had to do a page about something equally yummy…ice cream!J My daughter is also a huge fan of the stuff so finding photos wasn’t too difficult!
I made the ice cream with a part of the Up, Up and Away set and with the Stack-a-Bellies Cupcake set. I just love the way it turned out! I started by applying spun sugar and picket fence distress stains onto the circular canvas from Up, Up and Away. The pink was nice but I wanted a little shimmer so I painted over the whole canvas with some pink acrylic liquid paint. As for the “chocolate” dip, I used the felt icing shape from the Cupcake set and covered it with Ranger dimensional pearl in espresso, added a “cherry” button and some puffed paint “sprinkles”.
The banner added to the festivities and I wanted them to have some pop so I gessoed and painted them white to contrast against the brown background. Next I embossed dots with WOW powder in Cotton Candy. Such a fun color!
Momenta Let’s Party papers had so many fun designs and I really wanted to use as many of the patterned papers as possible. I decided to make an extra large pennant and cut strips of the different patterns to cover the pennant shaped cardstock. They all blended so beautifully together!
And of course I went straight to my ZIG millennium pens for the doodling and journaling. Wouldn’t know what to do without those pens! They write so smoothly on my papers and photos!
Well that’s my page for today…until next time, take care!

That is too cute!! Thank you for the detailed instructions – so often you see a beautiful LO but no details how it was made. Loved how you built up the cupcake and the sprinkles.
